Privacy Policy

RankBidr is designed to operate without user accounts and to collect only the information needed to publish listings, deliver sponsorships, process payments, measure activity, and prevent abuse.

Information we collect

Listings and sponsorships

When you submit a website, we collect its URL and the public title, description, favicon, or other metadata needed to display it. Listings, ranks, bid amounts, sponsorship status, and outbound click totals are public.

Payments

Checkout is provided by Dodo Payments. RankBidr does not receive or store full card numbers or banking credentials. We receive payment status, amount, currency, transaction identifiers, checkout identifiers, and metadata needed to activate a listing or sponsorship. Dodo Payments separately processes the customer and billing information entered at checkout under its own privacy terms.

Usage information and analytics

We record visits and outbound product clicks. RankBidr creates a random identifier for each browser-tab session and stores it in session storage. The server saves only a one-way hash of that identifier to count total sessions and determine which sessions are currently active. We do not use IP addresses or browser fingerprints for these counters. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic and performance information. If you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to measure page views, browser/device information, and how visitors use the site. Google Analytics is not loaded unless you opt in.

How we use information

• Publish and rank paid product listings.
• Activate sponsor placements and end them automatically after the purchased period.
• Verify payments and prevent duplicate fulfillment.
• Count visits and outbound clicks.
• Detect fraud, spam, security issues, and violations of our Terms.
• Comply with lawful requests and enforce our rights.

Service providers

RankBidr uses Dodo Payments for checkout and payment processing, Supabase for database infrastructure, Cloudflare for hosting, security, delivery, and aggregate web analytics, and Google Analytics when you opt in. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Cookies and accounts

RankBidr does not require an account and does not use cross-site behavioral advertising. We store your optional analytics choice in your browser. Google Analytics cookies and related measurement are used only after you opt in; you can change that choice below. Essential infrastructure may use limited technical storage or security mechanisms needed to deliver and protect the service.

You can allow or decline optional Google Analytics at any time. Changing your choice takes effect on this browser.

Retention

Public listings and payment references may be retained as part of the leaderboard and transaction history. Sponsor placements stop displaying automatically when their purchased period ends, although transaction and fulfillment records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Analytics event records may be retained to maintain aggregate counts and investigate abuse.

Your choices and rights

You may request correction or removal of submitted listing information, object to certain processing, or exercise other rights available under applicable law. Removal from public display does not erase payment, security, or accounting records that we must retain.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.

Children

RankBidr is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly accept purchases from them.
